Lester B Pearson
In 1963 after i won the election taking over John Diefenbaker the one thing i wanted to do was to restore the relationship between Canada and the United States. Diefenbaker usually goes along with the US decision and because of that US dominated Canada's Culture that was one thing i wanted to change. During the Vietnam War when most countries were choosing sides i (Canada) was quite and did not chose one. I did not want to participate and help the US because it would "compromise Canada's neutrality on the ICC" (INternational Control Commission). Although i did not participate in the war i gave the US 500 firms and 10billion dollars worth of food and beverages to the US troops. Because i did not participate in the war Canada's unemployment rate fell to the all time low 3.9%. Unites States were furious at me because i did not participate in the war which made our relationship get affected. On April 2 1965 i made a speech at Temple University in Philadelphia. I criticized the US government. This made US president Lyndon Johnson furious. The next day when Johnson met with me held me by my lapels and told me how he felt very angrily. USA started to draft people to help fight in the war because they needed more soldiers to help fight in the war. The people who got drafted started fleeing to other countries most went to Canada. I allowed these draft dodger and desters (A soldier who left his unit without official authorization) to immigrate to Canada. This also made the US mad. The draft dodgers were usually White, middle class, young men who finished university. In 1964 and 1973 it was estimated for 20,000 draft dodgers and 12,000 deserters found refugee in Canada. However, Canadian citizens took this decisions differently about 30,000 volunteered to fight with US to fight in the Vietnam War.

Lyndon B Pearson
The Vietnam war is a war that the i the US played a big role in. The Vietnam war occurred because France attempted to regain its hold over its colonies of Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam in Indochina. France had little difficulty establishing control in Laos and Cambodia. France were fighting strong resistance from the Communist party in the North part of Vietnam. In the early 1960s US were sending in troops to help battle the Communist party. Once one country fell to communism, all surrounding countries were in danger of falling as well. This belief was a huge reason for me and involvement in Vietnam.I first assisted through economic aid and military advisors. In 1964 i started sending lots of American Troops to fight in South Vietnam. On February 1965, i planned to bomb a large area of North Vietnam. As of 1968 there were 500,000 US troops in Vietnam. the more i supported, the more the other countries helped South Vietnam. I was furious for many reasons with Lester B Pearson because he decided not to participate in the war, criticized me and my government, and also allowed American draft dodger immigrate to Canada. This angered me greatly which affected my (USA) relationship with Canada.

Canadian citizens
My name is John Carter and i am a Canadian Citizen i felt totally different from US citizens because of the culture difference between US and Canada. Because Canada did not participate in the war 300,00 Canadian citizens including me volunteered to fight with US to defeat North Vietnam. However our neighbour in the south American citizens drafted people to fight in the war. Also the men who got drafted tried to flee to other countries mainly Canada. Canada a just Country allowed them to immigrate to Canada. In the war 103 Canadian soldiers died and are not forgotten in the Vietnam Memorial in Washington. However, When the Canadian sliders come back from the war they were not recognized by the Canadian government. Also the veterans had a hard time trying to find a place to erect a memorial in Canada. Overall, due to the difference in culture between US citizens and Canadian Citizens they act differently. I want everyone to remember my friends and Canadian soldiers who caught for the war because we gave our life out there to fight and and get justice.

I am Muhammad Ali and during 1964, when i was the greatest and all time best heavyweight fighter i failed the Air force qualifying test because of my poor writing reading skills because of this i failed to qualify for US air force. But in the early 1964 the test was altered and i was put in Class 1A. I being in this class meant he was now eligible to be part of the draft and induction into the US army, during that time US was involved with the Vietnam War. As soon as i heard about how he can serve for US army he immediately stated that “ War is against the teaching of the holy Quran. I’m not dodging the draft. We are not supposed to take part in no war unless declared by Allah or The Messenger. We don’t take part in christian wars or wars of unbelievers.” When i appeared for his induction he refused to come forward when my name was called out 3 times. The officer warned me that he was committing felony and the consequences would be 5 years in prison and $10,000 fine. He refused to go up and got arrested. I was plead guilty and upheld conviction. He was a public speaker during my time free. On June,28,1971 i was overturned by an animus 8-0 vote. I became a hero in muslim peoples hearts and black people.
"The president's reception of the speech was sulphurous and the relationship between the two men never fully recovered. No doubt LBJ believed that an attempt had been made by one he thought to be a friend to dictate UNited States Policy in his own Backyard."-Richie
